Tell Us What YOU Want & Think
Tue 5th Jan 2010. Posted by chrismcbCroy Miners Welfare Charitable Society has launched a consultation to help shape the future of the Charity and the services it provides.
As with all Miners' Welfare Schemes, they exist to improve the quality of life for their local community. They operate a trading arm - Croy Miners' Welfare Society and Social Club - which generates an income that is then covenanted to the Croy Miners' Charitable Society to be used for charitable purposes in Croy. For many years, the Society has played in important role in the social welfare of this community and this commitment has continued and increased to this day. The Charity offers a range of services and supports a wide range of local groups from the facility with services and groups continually increasing.
Croy Miners Welfare aims at continuous improvement and wants to constantly be meeting the current need of this community. As a result they are keen right now to find out what local people think about the facilities and activities it offers. The views of local people will help to shape the development of the services it offers to the community. Research is being carried out by Community Enterprise on behalf of the organisation to establish what services the community in Croy and surrounding areas would welcome and use. Part of this process is a local community survey.
Surveys are available from the Miners Welfare or committee members and it can also be access on-line. The organisation would appreciate it if as many people as possible would complete the questionnaire. All information is gathered in the strictest confidence. If you have any other comments or questions, please contact Community Enterprise on 01506 862227.
